Welcome!
Hi and welcome to my web space, provided courtesy of the good people here at
Homestead. My name is Jack Straw and I'm a 22 year old student studying Electonics. What I
hope to provide on this site is some of the tools I've developed to help me with my course
work. These tools will all be available free of charge so feel free to make the most of
them. So far I have only managed to get one tool in good enough shape for releasing to the
general public. See below for details on it. I will be releasing more as time permits so
check back often. If you like
the software and use it a lot I would really appreciate it if you could support the
advertisers shown in it, you can do this by clicking on the ads ......I have bills to pay
as well you know :)
February 19, 1999 - JS List Builder Released
This is a nifty little tool I recently used for helping me build a email list of
people interested and associated with electronics. One of the papers I decided to put
together required a survey and this tool allowed me to gather a list of people interested
in the field in a matter of minutes. I hope you fine it as useful as I did. Oh yeah,
remember it's freeware (well the software is actually advertisement supported) so you
don't have to pay for it. However, being a student I can't offer that much time on
technical support. The List Builder is simple enough to use so you shouldn't need much
help anyhow. An FAQ will be available shortly which should answer any queries you may
have.
Download it now from : (available soon)
To use this software you need access to a News Server (NNTP). I don't know of
any public ones so you'll have to hunt around for one. Most ISPs provide access to one as
part of your subscription ....go ask them for details!
Coming Soon - JS List Mailer
This is the software I used to communicate with the list I generated using the
List Builder. I hope to have it fixed up and ready for release in the next couple of
weeks. Please come back soon and check to see if it is available, oh yeah, it will be
freeware also!
